Photo workshop - Lofoten in Norway 28 Sep - 5 Oct 2025

from €300.00

LOFOTEN IN NORWAY 28 SEPT - 5 OCT 2025

Chase golden light, autumn storms, and the magic of the aurora in Arctic Norway.

Join us for an unforgettable 8-day (7-night) photography adventure into the wild beauty of the Lofoten Islands. Autumn in Lofoten is a season of drama—shifting skies, glowing mountain peaks, and the ever-present possibility of the Northern Lights.

Based in a comfortable cottages near Leknes, we’re perfectly positioned to explore all corners of the archipelago while staying flexible to follow the light. We’ll pick you up and return you to Leknes Airport, keeping logistics easy so you can focus fully on photography.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Lofoten in late September is a feast for the eyes and the lens. The mountains are often dusted with fresh snow, the skies are wild and moody, and the coastline glows with low, golden light. Charming fishing villages sit quietly along the fjords, and long twilight hours offer generous time for compositions.

And then there’s the aurora borealis. While not guaranteed, the autumn season offers excellent chances for witnessing and photographing the Northern Lights—especially with our local knowledge and willingness to step outside when the skies clear.

You’ll also have the opportunity to photograph white-tailed sea eagles during a private boat excursion (weather permitting), offering a unique wildlife element to an otherwise landscape-focused workshop.

ITINERARY OVERVIEW

DAY 1 – Arrival & Welcome
We meet you at Leknes Airport, just minutes from our cottages, where you'll settle in for the entire week. That evening, we’ll go through the itinerary, and prepare our gear. If the aurora makes an appearance, we’ll be ready.

DAYS 2–7 – Exploring Lofoten
Each day we’ll monitor the ever-changing Arctic weather to ensure the best possible light and locations—from dramatic seascapes to mountain vistas and remote beaches. Our range spans from Å to Svolvær, but our home base in Leknes keeps us close to the heart of it all. If weather allows, we’ll spend one day on a boat photographing sea eagles in flight.

DAY 8 – Departure Day
On the final morning, we’ll check out and make a few last photo stops on the way to Leknes Airport, aiming to arrive around noon on October 5.
